PSCs are a unique hiring mechanism and although they are U.S. Government employees, they must purchase their own insurance. PSCs receive reimbursement from USAID, however, for 72% of their monthly health insurance premiums (up to $7,266 for individual employees and $20,339 for employees with a family). Dental and vision insurance policies are not reimbursable, but health plans that include that coverage for no additional cost can still be reimbursed at the rate noted above. Air Ambulance is offered at no charge through the USA Federal Government
